Mahindra First Choice Services inaugurates Franchisee workshop in Thane

November 28, 2014, Thane: Mahindra First Choice Services (MFCS), India’s leading chain of multi-brand car workshops, has expanded its all India network to 46 with the inauguration of its first Franchisee Owned Franchisee Operated (FOFO) workshop in Thane. The company already successfully operates 2 Company Owned Company Operated (COCO) workshop in the region. The company established in 2008, pioneered the concept of multi-brand car workshops by opening its own workshops across the country. At present, it has 45 workshops, including 29 company-owned across the country. The company’s goal is to have 500 workshops by 2018. The company is investing over Rs 250 crore over five years to create infrastructure and expand the network. In order to supply parts to the workshops, the company will increase their cluster ware-houses Pan India from the present 15 to 40. All the services offered at MFCS would be cheaper by 10 to 20 per cent when compared with authorized service centers of each car brand. The company is able to provide service at cheaper rates as they source the parts in bulk from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The company has already serviced over 2 lakh cars since inception. Mr. YVS Vijay Kumar - CEO, MFCS inaugurated the workshop which is located at Unit No.3, Kothari Compound, Opp. Tikujini-Wadi, Hill Garden Road, Manpada, Off. G. B. Road, Thane (W). The new workshop will offer quality services to car owners through skilled technicians, quality spare parts, state-of-the art equipment, robust processes, free pick up and drop facility and an opportunity to book services online. “With its large car population, Mumbai was the logical choice for us to strengthen our workshop network. We already have a strong presence in Maharashtra with 8 Company Owned Company Operated (COCO) workshops and 3 Franchisee Owned Franchisee Operated (FOFO) workshop. We have a major presence across metros pan India with 15 workshops. With their knowledge of the local market, our new franchisee at Thane will help us further build on our existing presence,” said Mr. Vijay Kumar. “Our business model for franchisees has received a strong response in Maharashtra and we are in the process of expanding this model across the state. We are targeting over 100 FOFO workshops by March 2015, of which 20 will be in Maharashtra.
